District Photo Challenge

Entries for the district photo challenge are below. Larger versions of the images can be viewed in this Google Doc. Make sure to submit your answers as to which collage goes with which district by Monday, August 9. Let’s see which district gets the most correct answers. Good luck!

Challenge Details

Through pictures, tell us where your district is without telling us. Use this as an opportunity to work with your district members to submit at least one photo from each county or college in your district. Be creative! Photo entries will be featured on the NCCCLA website and are due no later than July 19, 2021, for consideration.

A photo collage from each district will be posted by July 31st. You will have until August 6th to review the entries and submit your answers, which will be done via Google Form (coming soon!). The district having the most correct submissions will be rewarded…with lots of kudos and recognition for a job well done!

Send your representative photos (8 photo limit) to Angela Davis, NCCCLA Webmaster & District 2 Vice-Director at asdavis688@my.pittcc.edu with the subject line: NCCCLA District Photo Challenge. Make sure that you include the district number where your photos were taken, who took the photo (if applicable), and that any borrowed photos are CC licensed and/or public domain.

NCCCLA OER Task Force

NCCCLA has approved the formation of an OER Task Force to provide more sustained conversation and collaboration around Open Educational Resources in North Carolina community colleges. This task force aims to promote the awareness and adoption of OER as well as serve as a community of practice for librarians wishing to expand their knowledge of and engagement with OER trends. The Task Force will explore potential projects, such as facilitating conversations and training across NCCCLA and OpenNCCC, developing an OER toolkit, offering educational opportunities, and/or exploring grant opportunities to foster the adoption of OER in NC community colleges.

We welcome your interest and look forward to your participation! We are hoping to begin meeting in late May or early June. If you’re interested in signing up, please fill out the interest form [Google Form].
