The purpose of the Conference Grant is to encourage members’ participation in the NCCCLA annual conference. Applicants must be current NCCCLA members who are presently employed at a North Carolina Community College Library.

Professional Development Grant
The purpose of the Professional Development Grant is to encourage members to participate in library-related professional development opportunities. Applicants must be current NCCCLA members who are presently employed at a North Carolina Community College Library.

Achievement Award
The Achievement Award is presented to a member of NCCCLA who has made a significant contribution to the profession of librarianship.

Life Membership Award
The Life Membership Award is presented to a person who has retired or is retiring from a learning resources center, library, media center, or individual learning center in the community college system of North Carolina or to a person who is in the Library Education profession. The Life Membership Award qualifies a person to be a life member of NCCCLA.

Scholarships
The Scottie W. Cox Memorial Scholarship Award
A $1,000 scholarship awarded to a library employee having at least a bachelor’s degree working toward either a master’s degree or a doctorate in the library and information studies field OR a library employee having at least a bachelor’s degree taking advanced work for professional development. Application materials for the Scottie W. Cox Scholarship are processed via the NC Community Foundation website.

Mertys Bell Scholarship Award
A $500 scholarship awarded to a library paraprofessional working toward an associate or a bachelor’s degree in the library and information studies field OR a student working toward an associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in the library and information studies field.

- Application deadline: April 30, 2021
