Why do you wish to serve in this position and what do you envision achieving during your term in support of NCCCLA’s mission?
In my time as secretary, I have learned so much about how this organization functions, and the hard work the Executive Board puts in to develop a strong professional network for our librarians and para-professionals around the state.
I have served on the conference planning committee for two years in a row and believe I have learned from some talented and wonderful professionals. I hope to bring what I’ve learned to the board as VP, planning an outstanding conference and preparing to lead this organization into the future.

Why do you wish to serve in this position and what do you envision achieving during your term in support of NCCCLA’s mission?
Access to information is a key concept for librarians; the Secretary’s role is vital to ensuring that the organization’s business, decision-making, and meetings are transparent and available to all members. After two years as District 4 Director, I look forward to a new opportunity to serve the association.
