Blue Ridge Library Wins Grant
Congratulations to Blue Ridge Community College Library for winning a Bright Ideas grant from the State Library of North Carolina (SLNC)! This will allow them to start work on their Blue Ridge Local History Project. Learn more about the award and their project in this blog post from Blue Ridge CC.
OER Community of Practice
The North Carolina Community College System’s OER Community of Practice has announced its Fall 2022 session presenters. The OER Community of Practice is open to anyone (teaching faculty, librarians, staff, etc.) in the NC community college system and meetings are typically held the first Thursday of each month at 11:00 a.m.

- Practical Steps and Tools for Incorporating Equity and Inclusion into OER Content with Rachel Becker
Rachel Becker is the Copyright & Open Educational Resources Librarian at Madison Area Technical College in Madison, WI. Her professional interests focus on incorporating equity and inclusion into course materials through OER. A recent graduate of SPARC’s Open Educational Leadership fellowship program and leader in providing guidance to state and national OER programs, she serves on several conference planning committees.

ACRL 2023 – Call for Proposals
Are you interested in presenting your great idea, event, or research? ACRL has opened its call for proposals for the upcoming ACRL conference in 2023.
This year’s theme is Forging the Future. You’ve got time to think but don’t wait too long!
Submission for a contributed paper, panel session, and workshop proposals is June 3.
Submission for a lightning talk, poster session, roundtable discussion, and virtual presentation proposals is October 14.
